How to fix Windows Live Mail sync problems ( Hotmail, Outlook, Live, MSN)

As the synchronous DeltaSync protocol is no longer in use, several email users such as Hotmail, Outlook, Windows Live, and MSN have had difficulty using Windows Live Mail for synchronization. Don’t worry; Microsoft isn’t going to turn off any services. Instead, it simply switches to the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, which causes Windows Live Mail to cease syncing your accounts and generate error messages. This article explains how to resolve Windows Live Mail sync (Hotmail, Outlook, Live, MSN).

How do you know you’ve got a problem?

Some users of Windows Live Mail on Desktop who are connected to Hotmail, Outlook, Windows Live, and MSN accounts do not experience any issues until all of their Windows Live Mail accounts abruptly cease operating and cannot be synced again.

When the error happens, a voice mail from Windows Live Mail will appear with the following message: “Some error occurred while executing the required tasks.” For more information, please see the list of errors below.” You’ll get an error message under that error tab that says, “Unable to send or receive messages for the MSN your email Id account.” 0x8008488E7 is the error code/ID.

You may not have encountered that issue yet, but it will arise sooner or later as Microsoft upgrades all Microsoft accounts to use the Exchange Active Sync protocol for synchronization. Unfortunately, some individuals believe it is difficult to set up a Windows Live Mail account with Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) functionality. The truth is that Microsoft attempted to provide an improved Windows Live Mail to enable EAS, but it fell short of expectations and caused several issues for Windows Live Mail subscribers. As a result, Microsoft will upgrade all accounts to support the EAS protocol.

As a result, unless you add POP3/IMAP Protocol to Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail Live will stop synchronizing all emails with Hotmail or other Microsoft accounts.
